The three most popular areas where you will find resorts are Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, & Negril.<\/p>\n Most resorts in Montego Bay are only 10 to 20 minutes from the airport, \u00a0so you will be at your resort within minutes of arriving on the island. You will love the convenience and beautiful beaches in\u00a0Montego Bay. The beautiful clear waters will have you itching to go snorkeling or swimming in the Caribbean Sea. <\/strong>Most beaches in this area are cove style beaches, so if long walks on the beach are important to you, this may not be your first choice. Instead, Negril may be a better option for you. Negril is about an hour and a half from Montego Bay. It is known for some of the best beaches, snorkeling, and diving on the island. Many of the resorts in this area are located on a beautiful 7 mile beach.<\/strong> It is a stunning area where you can enjoy a casual stroll along the beautiful shores and dig your feet into some of the softest sand while enjoying the stunning sunsets.<\/p>\n Ocho Rios, is located an hour and a half from the airport in the opposite direction of Negril, it is another beautiful part of Jamaica. If you enjoy waterfalls, Dunn\u2019s River Falls is beautiful and one of the most popular excursion options in Jamaica!<\/strong> Among the other great excursions in this area is The Blue Hole. \u00a0If you\u2019re looking to enjoy some crystal clear waters, Catamaran cruises will fulfill that desire and more. Resorts in this area are absolutely gorgeous and are typically located on cove beaches.<\/p>\n In May of 2019 we were able to go to Jamaica with some of our best friends! I was able to tour a lot of resorts and we had a wonderful time exploring the island. One of my favorite parts was the catamaran sailing we went on. In 2019, so much happened\u00a0with Your Vacation Plan!\u00a0I was able to tour 43 different resorts, and attend 3 amazing training intensives to better serve you.<\/p>\n My favorite training was focused on Alaskan travel! There are so many different and unique ways to experience and see all the beauty Alaska has to offer. While Alaskan cruises are the most common avenue, there are some amazing alternatives as well. If Alaska is on your bucket list, let’s chat!<\/p>\n In my personal life, we adopted a cute little “Poogle” (poodle\/beagle mix) this year named Sadie, and enjoyed spending quality time with friends and family.<\/p>\n This year\u00a0is off to a fun start as well! At the very beginning of the month, my car received a makeover courtesy of Sandals! We\u00a0had a booth at the Perfect Wedding Guide show in January, and have had so much fun working with couples planning their dream honeymoons and destination weddings.<\/p>\n Our new car wrap, courtesy of Sandals!<\/p><\/div>\n Travel Tip:\u00a0<\/strong>I used to have the worst time trying to fit all of my travel size liquids in a quart sized ziplock bag when flying. I always tried to stuff mine SO full that the bag would break! Did you know you can fit so much more in a TSA approved 3-1-1 clear liquid travel bag? You can typically find them for about five dollars on Amazon or E-Bags. Have you considered the Dominican Republican? It is a beautiful island located next to Haiti.<\/p>\n I LOVED the island and the amazing people when I visited. I recommend staying in one of three areas: Punta Cana, Cap Cana or La Romana. The easiest airport to fly into is the Punta Cana International Airport PUJ. It\u2019s only 15-20 minutes to Cap Cana, 25-45 minutes from most resorts in Punta Cana, and about 40 minutes to the resort area in La Romana.<\/p>\n Punta Cana has the most resort options in the DR. It boasts beautiful beaches on the Atlantic Ocean with swaying palm trees you are sure to love. Cap Cana is sometimes confused with Punta Cana. It is a beautiful gated community with amazing grounds located at the point where the Atlantic Ocean merges with the Caribbean Sea. This area has beautiful, white sand beaches and much smaller waves. La Romana is also situated on the Caribbean Sea, but will have smaller waves than the Punta Cana area.<\/p>\n If you are looking for a modern Caribbean resort vibe, the Dominican Republic could be the perfect island for you. The resorts are stunning and many are much newer than those on some of the other Caribbean Islands.
